In the late hours of a Wednesday evening in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a burst of gunfire shattered the night, leaving a scene of violence in the 4800 block of Gus Young Avenue. On November 14, 2018, four men were struck by multiple gunshots in a quadruple shooting. When emergency services arrived, they discovered two of the victims, 42-year-old Johnell Davis and 39-year-old Berman Hudson, deceased inside or near a vehicle in a deli parking lot.
Two other men, gravely wounded in the attack,
were rushed to a local hospital. One of these men was 38-year-old Willie Kinchen. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Kinchen succumbed to his injuries the following day, on Thursday, November 15, 2018. The condition and identity of the fourth victim were not publicly disclosed.
