In the quiet evening hours of November 15, 2018, the sound of gunfire shattered the peace in a New Orleans neighborhood. When police arrived at the 4600 block of Lancelot Drive, they discovered the body of Shawn Gamal Smith. The 33-year-old man had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his head and chest and was pronounced dead at the scene.
