On a late spring evening in Reserve, Louisiana, the life of 20-year-old Kyree R. Jones, a Black male, was tragically cut short. On May 29, 2019, Jones was fatally wounded in a drive-by shooting that also left three other young men injured. The group was standing outside a residence in the 300 block of Homewood Place when a vehicle approached, and its occupants opened fire on the crowd.
