Saharol Holmes, a 19-year-old African American male from Thibodaux, LA, tragically lost his life on August 18, 2019. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning in the 400 block of Abby Road at the Abby Subdivision in Thibodaux. According to the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office, Holmes was found lying in a field with at least one gunshot wound and was later pronounced dead. Another man, who was also shot, was found nearby and taken to a hospital in critical condition.
