In the late hours of Halloween night in 2020, a grim discovery was made on Cortez Street in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana. Authorities responded to reports of gunfire shortly before 11:45 p.m. and found a vehicle that had crashed into a ditch. Inside, they found 30-year-old Jardney Dior Bell of Thibodaux, a male, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Emergency services transported him to a hospital for medical treatment.
Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Jardney Bell succumbed to his injuries on November 6, 2020. The initial incident was ruled a homicide, launching a lengthy investigation by the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office Violent Crimes Division. Detectives have been diligently working the case, pursuing every available lead and examining all evidence since the night of the shooting.
As years have passed, the investigation into Jardney Bell's murder has turned into a cold case. To date, no arrests have been made, and authorities have not publicly identified any suspects. The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office continues to believe that there are people in the community with information that could be crucial to solving the case and bringing a sense of closure to Bell's family.
