Death by Force

On March 21, 2011, 24-year-old Brandon Smith, an African American male from Detroit, Michigan, was fatally shot. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 2:00 a.m., when police responded to a call reporting a shooting at a residence in a neighborhood south of Deer Valley Road and 35th Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found Brandon Smith with a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital in extremely critical condition and later succumbed to his injuries.
