Alvin Turner, a 47-year-old African American man from Thibodaux, Louisiana, tragically lost his life on January 21, 2022. Turner was attending a birthday party and repast when a verbal argument escalated into a deadly shooting. The altercation began between Turner and 26-year-old Terrione Thomas, who left the party, retrieved a firearm, and returned to open fire. Turner was fatally shot, and 70-year-old Linda Johnson, who was also attending the event, was caught in the crossfire and killed.
