Jairen Cole, a 15-year-old African American male from Thibodaux, LA, tragically lost his life on September 10, 2022. He was shot multiple times in the back and lower torso in the 1700 block of South Barbier Avenue in Thibodaux. The incident occurred around 6:00 p.m., and Jairen was immediately rushed to Thibodaux Regional Medical Center. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was airlifted to University Medical Center in New Orleans, where he ultimately succumbed to his wounds.
