In the late afternoon of September 14, 2019, tragedy struck in Monroe, Louisiana, when 37-year-old Christopher Coleman, an African American male, was fatally shot. The incident occurred around 4 p.m. on South 6th Street. When Monroe Police arrived at the scene, they discovered Coleman suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of emergency responders to save his life, he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
