On a tragic Thanksgiving night in 2019, the life of 22-year-old Dakota Chaisson was cut short in his hometown of Jennings, Louisiana. The young man was attending a private party at the Toby Ward Event Hall on South Main Street on November 29th when he was targeted and fatally shot, suffering multiple gunshot wounds. Despite attempts to revive him, Chaisson was pronounced dead at the scene, leaving a community in shock and a family to grieve an unimaginable loss.
