In the afternoon hours of a Sunday in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a burst of gunfire shattered the quiet of Amarillo Street. On January 12, 2020, at approximately 3:10 p.m., Dynovan Johnson was struck by a bullet in the North Baton Rouge neighborhood off Plank Road. First responders arrived at the scene to find him suffering from a serious gunshot wound.
