Kendall Thompson Jr., a 17-year-old African American male from Jeanerette, Louisiana, tragically lost his life on January 17, 2020. The young father was shot near the intersection of Martin Luther King Drive and Guiberteau Street. The incident occurred around 5 p.m., and Kendall sustained a fatal wound to his upper chest.
