A quiet Sunday afternoon in New Iberia, Louisiana, was shattered by gunfire on June 14, 2020, resulting in the tragic death of 13-year-old Demarcus Domond Brown, Jr. The young male was the victim of a drive-by shooting that occurred in broad daylight in the 500 block of Johnston Street. Brown was pronounced dead at the scene, his life cut short by the senseless act of violence.
