On June 14, 2020, 13-year-old Demarcus Brown Jr., an African American male, was tragically shot and killed in New Iberia, Louisiana. The incident occurred in the 500 block of Johnston Street, where Demarcus and his 18-year-old brother, Tre’jon Norman, were victims of a drive-by shooting. Demarcus was pronounced dead at the scene, while Tre’jon was critically injured and later succumbed to his injuries on June 21, 2020.
