Cortez Montgomery, a 20-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on July 22, 2021, in New Iberia, Louisiana. Born on April 30, 2001, Cortez was the only child of Kirk Montgomery and Tamekia Noel. He grew up in St. Martinville, Louisiana, but was residing in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, at the time of his death. Cortez had recently become a father, a moment he cherished deeply.
