Deborah Lynn McConnell, a 25-year-old woman from Newport, Rhode Island, was last seen in May 1988 after attending her mother’s funeral in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Her disappearance was one of many that occurred during a series of killings later attributed to the infamous New Bedford Highway Killer. On December 1, 1988, her remains were discovered near Route 140 in Freetown, Massachusetts.
