In the winter of 2014, the life of 22-year-old Mabilia Maranhao was tragically cut short in what authorities would come to describe as an apparent murder-suicide. On January 14th, she and a 22-year-old man, Sharif Goode, were discovered deceased inside a residence on Brock Avenue in New Bedford, Massachusetts.
