On a summer day in 1993, 10-year-old Holly Piirainen, a Caucasian female, was vacationing with her family at her grandparents' cottage in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. On August 5th, she and her younger brother went to a neighbor's house to see a litter of puppies. Her brother returned to the cottage, but Holly did not.
