Holly Piirainen, a 10-year-old girl, disappeared on August 5, 1993, while visiting her grandparents' cottage in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. She had been out with her younger brother to see a neighbor's puppies but never returned. Only one of her sneakers was found at the scene, sparking a large-scale search. Sadly, after weeks of uncertainty, her remains were discovered by hunters on October 23, 1993, in a remote wooded area in Brimfield, about five miles from where she had gone missing.
