In the early morning hours of Wednesday, February 7, 2007, the body of a 26-year-old African-American male named Damian Lackland was discovered in Boston, Massachusetts. Police responded to a call for an unknown problem at approximately 6:34 a.m. at 399 Walk Hill Street in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood, an area adjacent to the Mount Hope Cemetery. Upon their arrival, officers found Mr. Lackland deceased, having sustained an apparent gunshot wound.
