Lloyd Payne

In the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, a sense of unease settled over Mallon Road on the afternoon of November 4, 2010. Eighteen-year-old Lloyd Payne, an African-American male, was driving a green sedan he had recently purchased when the sound of a gunshot shattered the midday quiet. The single shot found its mark, and Payne's car rolled onward, crashing through a fence on Bullard Street. He was rushed to Boston Medical Center, but his injuries were too severe, and he was pronounced dead.
