On August 31, 2014, 24-year-old Shongi Fernandes was shot and killed in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, near 52 Claybourne Street. The incident occurred just before 8:00 PM, and Fernandes was found suffering from gunshot wounds when police arrived on the scene.
