In the late hours of a Saturday in Shreveport, Louisiana, the life of Jaerick Carey, a 29-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short. On November 21, 2020, in the Mooretown neighborhood, gunshots rang out, and Carey was struck in the back. The incident occurred just after 10 p.m., shattering the night's calm.
