On a Sunday afternoon in Shreveport, Louisiana, the life of 24-year-old Jacoby Kentae Ware was tragically cut short. On December 6, 2020, Ware, a male, was the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred in broad daylight. The incident took place around 2:00 p.m. in the 7000 block of Pines Road, at the intersection of West 70th Street.

An argument between two individuals escalated horrifically when at least one person opened fire from a vehicle. A hail of bullets struck Ware multiple times. Emergency services were called, and he was rushed to Ochsner Health hospital for treatment. Despite the efforts of medical staff, Jacoby Kentae Ware succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced dead at 2:52 p.m. Another individual was also wounded in the shooting and transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The Shreveport Police Department launched an investigation into the homicide.
