Anita Washington Jacobs, a 55-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on January 8, 2021, in Convent, Louisiana. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning when deputies responded to a shooting at her residence. Upon arrival, they discovered that Anita had been fatally shot in the head. Her stepfather, Don Jacobs, was also injured in the incident, having been shot in the shoulder. He was subsequently taken to the hospital for treatment.
