In the late afternoon of Saturday, July 31, 2021, the community of Slidell, Louisiana, was shaken by a violent act that claimed the life of 23-year-old Tyran Anderson. A Black male, Anderson was found in the parking lot of The Lofts at Canterbury apartment complex with multiple gunshot wounds. The Slidell Police Department received reports of several gunshots at approximately 3:20 p.m. and responded to the scene.
