James Lee "Jamie" Wallis, a 59-year-old male of unspecified ethnicity, passed away on September 27, 2021, in Pioneer, Louisiana. He was the Chief of Police for the Village of Pioneer and had a long career in law enforcement. Jamie was found dead inside his patrol car at approximately 1 p.m. after police received a report of shots fired. The cause of death was determined to be suicide.
