On May 25, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in Opelousas, Louisiana, resulting in the death of 19-year-old Isaiah Johnson. The Opelousas Police Department (OPD) was notified by Opelousas General Hospital South Campus around 6:00 a.m. that a victim had arrived with a gunshot wound, having been transported to the hospital by a private vehicle.
