On December 26, 2023, 23-year-old Juwarren Khalil "Juju" Martin, a resident of Lacombe, Louisiana, was fatally shot outside a gas station in the 28000 block of U.S. Highway 190. Responding to reports of a shooting around 6:45 p.m., deputies from the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office found Martin with a gunshot wound to his chest. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
