In the late hours of a Monday in New Orleans, the life of 20-year-old William Randall was tragically cut short. On May 7, 2018, at approximately 10:07 p.m., police responded to a call of an aggravated battery by shooting in the 3300 block of Garden Oaks Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered Randall suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Orleans Parish Coroner's office later officially identified William Randall as the victim of the fatal
shooting. The incident, which unfolded at an apartment complex in the Algiers neighborhood, was investigated by the New Orleans Police Department as a homicide. In the weeks following the shooting, the authorities began to seek assistance from the public.
By June 20, 2018, the NOPD announced they were looking for two individuals to speak with in connection with the ongoing investigation. These individuals were identified as Corey White and Elaine White. The police clarified that they were considered persons of interest and were not wanted for the homicide at that time, but investigators believed they might have information relevant to the case. Law enforcement appealed to the public for any information regarding the homicide or the whereabouts of the two persons of interest. The investigation into William Randall's death remains open.
