Hollis Carter, a 21-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on March 23, 2022, in New Orleans, LA. Carter and his mother were en route to a court hearing regarding Carter's double murder charge when a black truck pulled alongside their vehicle on Chef Menteur Highway and opened fire. Carter was fatally shot, and his mother was seriously wounded. The incident occurred while Carter was out on bail, having posted a $375,000 bond in September 2021.
