In the early morning hours of December 4, 2021, the body of 32-year-old Jezmine Battie, a Black/African American male, was discovered along a service road in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. An investigation by the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office determined that Battie had been the victim of a fatal shooting.
