Derrick Michael Cash, a 12-year-old African American boy, tragically lost his life on January 3, 2022, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Derrick was a student at Thurgood Marshall Success Prep and was found in the 1400 block of Michoud Boulevard. He had been shot in the head and body and was left for dead.
