Yaschica Jones, a 46-year-old African American woman from Mansfield, Louisiana, tragically lost her life on January 6, 2022. The incident was a murder-suicide, where her husband, Eddie Ray Jones Jr., aged 50, shot Yaschica and another individual, Rondetrich Simpson, aged 26. Eddie Ray Jones Jr. then turned the gun on himself, resulting in his death as well. This tragic event left the community in shock and mourning.
