Kirby Johnson, a 31-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on September 23, 2016, in Mansfield, Louisiana. On that fateful evening, Kirby was with his female friend, Fredreka Green, age 24, when he decided to go get a cigarette from a local vendor. As he approached the mailbox, a group of young men, including 19-year-old Darrius Smart, confronted him.
