In the early hours of a cold Tuesday morning in Boston, on November 25, 2008, the life of 18-year-old Hispanic/Latino male Sergio M. Escofet was tragically cut short. At approximately 1:06 AM, the sound of gunfire shattered the pre-dawn stillness on Fawndale Road. When police officers from the E-5 District arrived at the scene, they discovered a grim tableau.
