The events of that day unfolded as Zachary Adams arrived at the mobile home park and engaged in an argument with Walker.
After the initial dispute, Adams departed the scene, only to park his vehicle and return on foot to confront Walker once more. The second argument proved to be fatal, as Adams produced a firearm and shot Walker.
Following an investigation into the shooting, authorities identified Zachary Adams as the suspect. He was subsequently arrested and charged with the murder of Jalen Walker. In 2022, a court found Adams guilty of second-degree murder.
For his crime, Zachary Adams was sentenced to life in prison at hard labor. Adams, who was already a convicted felon with a history of violent offenses, later appealed his conviction.
