In the Algiers neighborhood of New Orleans, a weekend of violence in the spring of 2022 claimed the life of 63-year-old Kenneth Faggin, a Black/African American male. On the evening of Friday, April 8, 2022, Faggin was gunned down on the 1200 block of Sumner Street, becoming the first of four homicide victims in the area within a harrowing 48-hour period.
