A planned purchase of a cell phone through an online marketplace tragically ended in the death of 24-year-old Morgan Tyrone on April 10, 2022. The female victim, a resident of Pascagoula, Mississippi, had arranged via Facebook Marketplace to buy an iPhone 13 for $300 and traveled to Gretna, Louisiana, for the transaction. Accompanied by her partner and their 13-month-old son, Tyrone drove to an apartment complex on Friedrichs Road, believing she was meeting a female seller.
