In the late summer of 2022, a life was tragically cut short on the streets of New Orleans. Kevin James August, a 29-year-old male, was found with gunshot wounds on August 22, 2022, in the 3600 block of General Taylor Street. The shooting occurred at approximately 12:19 p.m., and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
