Stacy Ann Boudreaux, a 52-year-old woman from Gibson, Louisiana, was a caregiver for many years and was known for her love of entertaining and singing in multiple bands. Her life was tragically cut short in October of 2022.
In the quiet community of Gibson, a series of events unfolded that would lead to the untimely death of Boudreaux. On October 20, 2022, the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office opened a homicide investigation into her death. The investigation quickly pointed to a suspect, 50-year-old Romallic Dynell Nash Sr., also a resident of Gibson. As authorities began their search for Nash, he fled the state in an attempt to evade capture.
The manhunt for Nash continued for several weeks. On December 14, 2022, detectives with the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office Violent Crimes Division were notified that Nash had been located and apprehended by the United States Marshall's Office in Akron, Ohio. Following his capture, the process of extradition began to bring him back to Louisiana to face charges.
On December 21, 2022, investigators traveled to Ohio and took custody of Nash. He was transported back to Terrebonne Parish and booked into the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex on one count of second-degree murder. His bond was set at $2,000,500. Following the arrest, the local sheriff expressed his relief that Nash was in custody for what he described as the 'senseless murder of an innocent woman.'
