On April 4, 2023, law enforcement received a tip regarding Jones's whereabouts. He was located at a residence in Hammond, Louisiana, and surrendered to authorities peacefully. Both Jywann Jones and Tommy Stewart now face first-degree murder charges in the death of Christopher Sibley.
