Braxton Bourda, a 15-year-old African American male, was tragically shot dead on June 5, 2014, near his home in Larose, Louisiana. Braxton, a star swimmer at South Lafourche High School, was found with a gunshot wound to the head on the side of East 23rd Street. The incident occurred just months before his sixteenth birthday.
