Jermaine Riles, a 49-year-old African American man from New Iberia, Louisiana, tragically lost his life on December 26, 2022. He was shot and killed in the 100 block of Dark Alley, New Iberia, and bystanders brought him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries. The incident occurred just a day after Christmas, which added to the shock and sorrow felt by his family and the community.
