On a summer afternoon in Boston, a young Black/African American man named Jamil Harmon, aged 26, lost his life. The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. on August 18, 2010, in the Dorchester neighborhood. Harmon was on Blue Hill Avenue, somewhere between Seaver Street and Columbia Road, when he was fatally stabbed. The attack happened in the middle of the day, and authorities noted that many people were in the vicinity at the time.
