In the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston, on the evening of March 16, 2005, a 25-year-old Black/African American man named Leon Leslie Bocage Jr., known to his friends and family as "Big L," was fatally shot. The incident occurred at 780 Shawmut Avenue, where Boston Police responded to a report of a person shot. Upon their arrival, they discovered Bocage suffering from gunshot wounds.
