Michael T. Caulfield, a 22-year-old white male, tragically lost his life on September 30, 1982, in Forest Park, Illinois. Officer Caulfield was shot and killed inside the Forest Park police station at 517 Desplaines Avenue. The incident occurred while he and his training officer were processing a prisoner. Another officer entered the station with a second prisoner, who managed to disarm and shoot the entering officer. Although the entering officer survived, Officer Caulfield was immediately shot ...
