Marshal Harry A. Belluomini, a 58-year-old white male, was tragically killed on July 20, 1992, in Chicago, Illinois. Belluomini, who had served with the U.S. Marshals Service for three years following a distinguished 32-year career with the Chicago Police Department, was shot during an attempted escape by a prisoner at the Everett M. Dirksen U.S. Courthouse.
