Eric Watkins, a 33-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on March 18, 1995, in Chicago, Illinois. His death was part of a series of violent crimes committed by Ralph Harris, a notorious serial killer, rapist, and armed robber. Harris's crime spree spanned several years, during which he terrorized the Chatham community on the southeast side of Chicago. Watkins was shot twice by Harris during an attempted armed robbery, leading to his untimely death.
