On February 8, 2022, Uriel Rogers-Knox, a 16-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed in the Woodlawn neighborhood of Chicago, IL. Uriel had moved to Chicago from Minneapolis against his family's wishes, seeking to live with extended family in the city. His mother, Negaya Knox, described him as a spirited and intuitive young man who loved water parks and barbecues.
