Lori Hayes, a 25-year-old woman from Springfield, Illinois, was tragically murdered on August 1, 1999. Lori, who was married to Brad Hayes and had a 9-month-old daughter named Alexis, was out shopping with her daughter at a local mall when she went missing. Passersby found Alexis crying in Lori's car, and when the police arrived, they noticed blood on the rear bumper and inside the vehicle. A spent shell casing was found at the back of the car.
