Brian Timothy Strouse, a 33-year-old white male, was a dedicated officer with the Chicago Police Department. On June 30, 2001, while conducting surveillance of gang activity in the Near West Side of Chicago, he tragically lost his life in the line of duty. Officer Strouse, along with his partners, was working as a plainclothes tactical officer when they encountered gang-related gunfire.
